Babes in the Park

On Sunday afternoon, Colette and I headed to Cathedral Park to meet up with some friends. Morgan and I met in prenatal yoga when we were just 6 weeks pregnant. We became fast friends and she had her sweet baby girl Peri just two days before I had Colette. It has been wonderful to have a friend going through pregnancy, birth, and parenthood at the same points I am and it is so fun to see our girls together now!

They were so content to lay on the blanket and hang out with each other.

We had a lovely time and are so glad our friends invited us to join them.

This is not from our visit in the park, but I wanted to share a photo of Peri with her awesome parents, Morgan and Bob.

What a great that must have been. Colette is growing daily and her smiles and expressions let you know all is well with the world! Love that pink hat, I remember when you got it. Enjoy these days!

What a great day, no edit possibility for those typos

Wow, there must be a Wesen convention in Portland. It’s not often you see two Eisbibers (ice-bee-bər) out sunning themselves in public.

Of course, Eisbiber (ice-bee-bər) are cute little beaver looking Wesen who appear to be meek and shy but not as much as Mauzhertz. They seem to have a knack for performing repairs, baking, and crafts including handmade jewelry.

Eisbiber are typically found in a democratic collective who convene in societies called “lodges,” and put issues in their community to a vote. When confronted by Grimms, the Eisbiber appear very afraid even when unthreatened; it takes a year’s acquaintance for an Eisbiber to feel comfortable talking to Grimms out of choice rather than necessity. In fact, they feign an inabilty to speak coherently to anyone during this period, including their parents.
