The Pumpkin Patch

We had such a lovely afternoon at the pumpkin patch today! Zakk’s parents (aka Nana and Didus) are living in Portland now, so they were able to join us for the fun. We got to take a hayride, visit with the animals in the big red barn, and play in the field of pumpkins. The weather was amazing and we brought home a couple of beautiful pumpkins, as well as a good amount of farm fresh produce that we picked up at fantastic prices and a cherry pie (my favorite!) that I will bake soon (probably tomorrow – I can’t wait!).

Yep, we went around 4p. Wish we would have coordinated!

I think Pumpkin riding should be a new Olympic sport! Obviously Colette would win a medal! Looks like too much fun!

      It was a wonderful time!

Great photos in the pumpkin patch. Did you all ride the cow cars pulled by the tractor out to the patch, or get lost in the corn maze?

Now you’ve all officially welcomed fall to the Portland area.

The cow train will have to wait until next year. She was a bit too small to ride this time. We did take the hayride with the big tractor out to the patch though and she seemed to enjoy that quite a bit. No corn maze this year either, but I am excited to do it with her next year!
